During the fall semester of 2021, the advanced lighting design class taught by William Kirkham led me through numerous approaches, techniques, and concepts frequently used by lighting designers in a professional setting.

For almost the entire semester we worked on one design for Little Shop of Horrors, utilizing the same set design William designed for at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. As a class we went through the process from start to finish as if we were actually doing the show, and got a feel for the process and paperwork involved in professional lighting design.
